Hi.

I installed a wallpaper manager from the Microsoft Store (Wallpaper Studio 10: Free), which I didn't like much so I uninstalled it.

But now my wallpaper settings keep getting switched from my usual slideshow to a static picture that it pulls from the net somewhere.

This happens even after I create a theme they way I want it. It goes back to this wallpaper setting.

Any ideas?

Things I personally would try - Reinstall the Wallpaper Studio, switch all settings back to normal, if possible, then uninstall it with Revo or Geek Uninstaller. Each is pretty good at tracking down registry entries left behind vs windows uninstallation settings...
Someone else may have a better solution but this has worked with me before.
You might also try sfc /scannow or dism tool to restore.

Yes, thank you. I've done just this (with the pro version of Geek) a few times now. Still no luck. :(

What about app permissions, startup apps, privacy settings, apps that can access the internet...? I know you uninstalled it, but obviously there is a trace somewhere.
Folders where themes or themepack files are stored. Appdata folders, program files. System restore point. ( I don't think an 'upgrade repair install' would touch these files) I looked up this app's permissions and it does require internet permission.

Of course you may have tried all of these already as well, and things I haven't mentioned. If so, I'm sorry just throwing out ideas
I'm sure there's a regedit wizard on here that may be able to point you in a better direction.

Thanks for the help anyway. I appreciate it.

I think this might be a OneDrive "sync" thing. I uninstalled OneDrive and so far the wallpaper settings haven't been changed.

I'll keep an eye on it.

I'm not really sure if this is the actual fix, cause I tried a whole bunch of stuff to fix this, but it seems to be okay now.

I ran
Code:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
and
Code:
sfc /scannow
(which I've done already) and after a reboot it's fine now.

No idea what happened there.

That sounds about right, that's what I've done in the past, keep messing with it until it's fixed, or the worst, it's completely bricked  I feel it was the OneDrive sync, whatever it was you're all good now (y)

Do you use multiple Desktops? I have found that:
- if a theme with multiple images is used then it applies to all desktops
- if themes are not used then each desktop can have a different single image
Hopefully a future update will allow a different theme for each desktop
