Solved wdcsam64.sys driver problem.

When I plug-in any WD external HDD I now see this:-

It started a few weeks ago and after extensive web searches, I can't resolve this problem.

Anyone know what security setting needs to be adjusted?

I am no aware of any problems as the drives appear to be working normally.

Open administrative command prompt and copy and paste:

dism /online /get-drivers /format:table >c:\drivers.txt

Uninstall the driver from Device Manager. Most external WD drives want to your install some convenience driver, which are all flagged by MS as security risks. You won't notice the difference without the driver.

Hi,

You can check in Windows Security if Memory Integrity is enabled. If it is, you can try to disable it and see if issue is resolved.

I decided not to risk disableling Windows Security and uninstalled the driver.

I've waited to see if there would be any problems and nothing untoward has happeded.
