Hi, since the recent update the weather app is basically a copy of the MSN weather web site, which is also duplicated on the weather widgets. A real shame, the app version of the weather used to be so much better, no its another app with adverts and other crap.

I checked if rolling back to a previous version of MSN Weather is possible. While version 4.31 runs, the app stops displaying any data except for radar maps and weather news. MS has disabled the data feed, forcing you to use the newer build.

What really ticks me off is the weater map. I find it very cartoonish and geared for children. There was nothing wrong with the old weather maps. IMHO, MS is doing their best to make Windows and their apps to be, made by children and for children.

This is the best weather app that I have used, but it recently stopped working, and it appears that the developer has disappeared.
So, I'm looking for a replacement.

I liked the fact that it was always on display on the desktop. It had some great visual effects too.
For example: If it started raining, you'd see clouds come over and raindrops start falling with a windscreen wiper going back and forwards for a few seconds. :-)

I shared it with many of my friends.
But now it has dissappeared! I guess he forgot to pay the annual maintenance fee.

I liked the fact that it was always on display on the desktop. It had some great visual effects too.
For example: If it started raining, you'd see clouds come over and raindrops start falling with a windscreen wiper going back and forwards for a few seconds. :-)
