Looks like it may be time to open up the "old wallet" and buy a new webcam.

i dont know how i think SDIO update some drivers for PCI that were out of date

More good luck than good management ... I specifically warned about installing other updates offered because more than often they break something (else) that is already working OK.

I'm wondering whether the 103 error was a false negative and in actual fact, the cam drivers were applied.

Who knows, who cares ... if it ain't no longer broke, don't investigate.
