I just got a new pc and have win 11 pro. For some reason the mouse becomes unresponsive intermittently. Like I can move the mouse around anywhere just fine however when I try to click nothing happens, it might work in a browser and not the desktop etc. After 30 seconds or so it starts working again.
Any ideas?
Thanks

What type of mouse/connection? My new [3 weeks] Lenovo IdeaPad with Ryzen 5 does similar [but not as long] using a Bluetooth mouse.

If it's a wireless mouse it could be being cause by interference from a nearby device. Do you have another mouse you can try?

My bad, I should have mentioned that. It's a wired mouse and I've tried 2 different ones with the same result.

Do you have any peripherals plugged into a USB port?

Yes, a few things. Gotta watch some football now. I'll unplug everything but the mouse later and get back. Thanks for the idea.

I think I found the problem. I was using an app named advchange to change text size throughout windows. After putting everything back to default windows values I haven't had the problem.
