I am basically a Linux (Ubuntu) user, and have PC s set as dual boot with Win for clients who want my reports in pure Adobe PDF and pure PowerPoint, as well as scientific instrument signals that get processed by a Win-based program. Everything else runs Linux, and I use various versions of PDF Studio Pro to edit PDF's. Most of the time it is to take sections from PDF documents and add to my documents.

    This is stock Dell 7720. Only thing not stock is that it is dual boot with Ubuntu Unity 25.04 and SSD has two exFAT partitions for my files. They can be accessed by both Ubuntu and Win software.

Has anyone tried Master PDF Editor? It looks pretty good.

I'm still using Acrobat X Pro Windows 7 machines. Haven't tried it on Windows 11, Adobe says won't work ...will know in a few days

I also used to install Foxit Phantom PDF pro or adobe acrobat pro on my device as main pdf editor but now I don’t have any pdf reader/editor app except PDFGear.

I had Adobe Acrobat 2020, you could still buy it as a non subscription product. I paid about 500 EUR. I also had Photoshop Elements from them. But because I am using Windows I had to reinstall and reactivate the product. This caused me the need to contact Adobe Support as the the software could not be activated and they have given me a new key but they have withdrawn the activation count reset service on perpetual licenses to 2. So I could reinstall Windows only 2 more times before I could not activate the product anymore. As I cannot base my workflow on subscription models I have since closed my Adobe account losing all of their products willingly. I just cannot have a workflow where I need to pay a monthly subscription. I need to be able to see and edit my photos even if I lose my job and cannot pay bills anymore and the same goes with my need to edit pdfs. For me the subscription model just doesn't work. I don't know why customers accept this. I have since not found a good replacement for Acrobat, for now I am just using the built-in Microsoft Edge editor. This is also made my Adobe especially for Microsoft and it is a bit better than the Chrome one.

Just out of curiosity...,
has anyone experienced a PDF Viewer that incorporates true Smooth Scrolling, like, as smooth as a browser?
I read that Adobe does, but, I don't want to install that bloat just to find out it doesn't!

The best alternative to the overpriced adobe acrobat is simply adobe acrobat 2022 you can eazily buy it from websites like key-punch.com or gamers-outlet for very cheap price and its even lifetime idk why i look like i am promoting haha but its the most valulable thing i ever bought
