I used Pinnacle Studio for years, just out of habbit and when you know how to use it, it’s quite extensive.
But I am finding the licence for versions that I bought, are now buggy with the advancement of Windows. I am not prepared to pay for another version when I know there are smaller and probably cheaper programs that do just as good a job.
I don’t mind paying for something.
I need to be able to edit video properly. This includes corrections for lighting and age. Most of these videos are from the 70’s made with VHS or Betamax. Many are recorded on U-matic tape of which I had to pay a fortune for conversion.
These videos are priceless and are needed for archiving at the Australian National Archives and for personal upcoming projects. I have about 600 hours of tape to sort through and edit. More if I include the most damaged tape.
So, I need a professional program (NOT ADOBE)
