Hello, friends.

For 3 or 4 years, I've been using my system based on an Asus H670-Plus D4 main board. The graphics processing capability wet the bed, with all kinds of wiggling and jiggling on video playback.. I tried swapping the stuff I could think of, but nothing worked. I finally bought a Gigabyte GT710 board, which was cheap and delivered at the crack of dawn this morning. When I plugged it in, it came up running on the GT710.

Two things I'm wondering. The first is whether the GT710 is faster or slower than the on-board graphics. The second, of course, is whether the failure of the graphics section of the Asus H670-Plus D4 is the beginning of the end and I need to plan a new build.

Thanks for your insights.
Dave

The GT710 is slower :

GT 710 vs Intel 730

However - it sounds strange if your INTEL IGPU shold have died, but maybe something on MB, if you have tryed anything else.

Have you tryed upgrading BIOS to latest f.eks. Reset BIOS, upgrade to latest drivers and/or dele and restore in system.

A different benchmark:

I don't expect a discrete graphics card to be worse than integrated graphics, but this is an exception. It also has only 1GB of VRAM.

I'm not sure what the best way would be to troubleshoot the integrated GPU. What I've done in the past:

Image C:
Do a clean install of Windows.
Install only updates and the graphics drivers.
See how it works. If it's still glitchy, it could be a hardware issue. If not, it's a Windows or drivers issue.

Restore C: from the image, if you like.
