I had a similar thing happen to me, the fault with mine though was just simply a loose cable to that drive in particular.

The Title of Optimize would suggest it is spare space to be used when the drive is checked and bad spots found, something similar to Defrag used with HDDs.

The unmounted volume is a partition that is marked as active indicating that at one time it was a partition that the computer booted from in legacy BIOS mode. You can probably just assign it a drive letter and see what was on it.

As NavyLCDR commented it looks like it was a modified or enlarged MSR.

MiniTool Partition Wizard has a right click option to view files within a partition.

Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste: (all at one time the commands within the code brackets)

Code:
reagentc /info
bcdedit /enum all

When these have completed > right click on the the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into this thread

As NavyLCDR commented it looks like it was a MSR.
Respectfully, it could not have been an MSR. Microsoft Reserved Partitions are only allowed on GPT disks. Since the partition in question is marked as Active, the disk must be MBR. The term system reserved partition is what Microsoft uses to describe an active partition created on an MBR disk solely dedicated to containing the boot files to boot the computer from. MSR is something completely different.

Agree that the current disk 3 is currently MBR as it has the active partition.

Sorry for the earlier comment.

Consider these:

If it were MBR from the start then it would have had to be a system partition that was enlarged.

If it were GPT that had been converted to MBR then it could have been either System or MSR.

Actually, disk management shows that it has no filesystem on it. So it's hard to say what it was at one time.

You can get more options to work with this drive using a free partitioning software like Minitool Partition Wizard, EaseUs or Aoemi Partition Assistant
