Yeah, better than 90, but to be frank, I expected something like 30-40 seconds :)

I have a sneaky feeling it may have something to do with my Hello sign in with my web cam. I'm going to disable and test again.

Edit... Removed Webcam ran test again; the app basically said "66 and that's what it is" :cautious:

I figure that it's due to things loading in the background. I load what I need, so I'm not worried about 30 or 40 seconds. I'm going to see how quick it is when I swap out my SSDs for the faster drive I just purchased. It'll probably be about the same. Like I said, no big deal. I'm a patient person.

Mine is 59sec as posted above. It used to be at around 25sec on my old machine (i7 4790K) with 10sec cold boot time.
My current cold boot time is now around 30sec. Most startup apps are disabled. The POST actually took about 15 sec, so really it just around 15 sec cold boot time.

I'm on an SSD. In fact I'm on a Samsung 970 Pro NVMe drive (PCIE 3.0). Anyway, it's nothing I'm going to worry about.

My system spends about 5 seconds sitting at "waiting to restart", then once the system restarts it's pretty quick.

The tool is just a tiny .bat file or a tiny .vbs script. Neither requires installation, and neither harms your machine in any way. Try it.

If you want to go the hard way, start your timer at the instant you let go of the click on Restart, and stop the timer when your desktop is fully up and no new icons are appearing or are about to appear.

OK, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't everyone's restart time going to vary radically even between identical machines based on the software they have loading, hardware plugged into to their machine, bluetooth activating and attaching devices etc. Just saying unless everyone is running a machine with nothing but windows installed on it you can't really do a restart speed comparison between systems can you?

Indeed
Disable fast start/ hibernation and just these increase boot/ restart times a lot.
Then you get into programs/ third party security stopping and starting back up.

Win-10 was fast in the beginning but now is pretty slow as time has gone on.

Oh ok, so that'll include the time it takes to enter my Bitlocker PIN and my account password. I'll try it the next time I have occasion to restart my PC (I tend not to reboot very often).
