Hello! I tried to download the latest chipset drivers for Intel Z390 chipset and I could not find any download at Intel's support site. In fact it is rather difficult to locate any chipset drivers, including older chipset such as my H61. I know that Windows 10 and 11 are supposed to install any chipset drivers automatically, but I would prefer it if I could download the appropriate INF package and install it manually. It might be the same thing as doing that from Windows Update, but I want to make sure I have the latest version installed to maximize performance and compatibility. Back in Windows XP, Vista and 7 installing latest chipset drivers before any other driver improved system stability and performance. I noticed some manufacturers have a version of the chipset drivers at their support site. Where do they find it? I would prefer to download the latest drivers directly from Intel to make sure they are the newest. Any help appreciated.

Go to the manufacturer's website and look up your mobo's drivers. There's should be a link there that points to the latest intel chipset driver available for your mobo.

Hi,

You can always find the latest in my threads :

- For your motherboard with Intel Z390 chipset : [DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA/VMD (1xx/2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx)
- For your motherboard with Intel H61 chipset : [DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA (6x/7x/8x/9x)

Note @ Everyone : Don't install the Chipset drivers from Windows Update - Optional updates which are most recognizable by their dates which are other than the 07/18/1968 (Note from Intel : Intel(R) Chipset Device Software uses an unusual date for the devices it is targeting. The date 07/18/1968 is symbolic - Intel was founded that day). If you installed the Chipset drivers from Windows Update - Optional updates, follow this process :

- Uninstall your current Intel Chipset Drivers package if you have any installed (via Start > Settings > Apps) then restart your PC.
- Launch Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator) > Check the boxes of all versions of drivers which .inf ending with system in the System device category (if you find them).
- Check the box "Force Deletion" then click on the "Delete Driver" button then restart your PC.
- Install the latest Intel Chipset Drivers package from the first post of my threads :

Hi MoKiChU,

Is there anywhere else to download your drivers collection. The ROG Forum has been gone for practically a month, "temporarily closed for service enhancements".

Since ASUS latest Realtek drivers (LAN, WiFi, BT, Audio) are from before the release of Windows 11 (most of them from 2019), I'm looking for newer drivers for my laptop ASUS TUF FX505DT. I feel like 22H2 messed up a lot of things.

Thanks in advance!!!

Last time I checked, there are no chipset drivers at Intel's support site. Some years ago, you could either search for or ho to download, chipset and find latest INF package for your chipset. Now all these links are gone. You can only find downloads for Intel motherboards with the same chipset and it might not be appropriate for your other manufacturer motherboard. Lately even these downloads are purposely hidden. I know Windows Update most times will find appropriate drivers automatically, but I would like to have more control over my drivers installation. I prefer manually download and install latest drivers, not rely on Windows Update. Recently I moved my Windows 11 installation on another computer because I replaced it and the USB ports wouldn't work until I manually updated the chipset drivers. Windows Update was not installing any chipset drivers because they were already installed.
