Which AIs do you use?

I've used both and chose Copilot because my use is almost entirely for Windows technical questions. It seems that Copilot's access to Windows technical documentation makes a difference. I've been studying the two-volume set of Microsoft Windows Internals and am halfway through Mark Price's book "C# 14 and .NET 10", keying in and studying all the examples using Microsoft Visual Studio 2026. Copilot has been invaluable in helping me understand what I'm learning.

Yes, exactly... that is what I was going for there, lol. I Just thought it was ironically funny, a little. But... I probably should have held off because it a serious thread. Sometimes I can't help myself. Thanks for taking it kindly.

I agree. Also CP has no use limit unlike ChatGPT. Just be aware all Artifical Idiots are prone to spouting Artifical Ignorance.

I use Claude and Gemini, both paid accounts.

When you want entertainment, Gemini.

When you want answers you can actually trust instead of hallucinations, Claude.

I use google only for searching. It can determine what you are looking for and compile a comprehensive answer in seconds - what it would take days for a regular search engine (some of which which I doubt would ever get the information Gemini provides). Very powerful.

Beside that, I have no desire or need to use AI for anything else.

I've created an interactive novel with Gemini. I've been able to write detailed characters into the instructions. Looks, personalities, extensive backgrounds including likes, dislikes, hobbies, jobs. There's even a blueprint of the house so they know the home office is down the hall to the left...

There's no specific "you do this, act like that" stuff though. That's were the magic comes from. I let the context bring them to life. I don't know how the characters will evolve or respond until they do. It's a big complex game for me.

I'm an avid reader and PC gamer and it's the best of both worlds.

Gemini has "Meta Context". It can pull context from all past sessions at anytime. Claude added a "Search and reference chats" but, it's still kind of buggy. When you turn it on it thinks you've been talking to it non stop since that first session and the "system reminder" starts kicking in for every reply, slowing things down to a crawl and convincing Claude it's replaced your entire life.

Claude builds things for me, made me a notepad app that has none of the Microsoft *@#% in it. It's my default now. Also built me a GUI I use to inject different backgrounds into the gemini webpage, I simply click a thumbnail, and a custom MCP so it can inject backgrounds into the Claude desktop app on it's own.

Claude also helped me tame my i9-14900K. I can stress test it at 100% without thermal throttling now while still hitting almost 6 GHZ.

i have never used AI for that

But if you want to have fun and get irritated on the AI.. start a new session, then tell the AI to always respond as a 15 year old spoiled brat.... Then you will have an interesting conversation. *LOL*

I guess I'm going to have to go with Copilot. Because I'm running the Canary build on my main computer I use the Canary build of Edge with it's default search settings.
