White Screen on Bootup

Lenovo Legion laptop Windows 11 22H2 22621.963

After booting up and logging into Windows, sometimes it will hang with nothing showing but an empty taskbar.

If I leave it alone, it will sit there forever.

If I start clicking around on the desktop, the screen will turn white and then refresh itself loading in all the taskbar icons.

This happens about every other time I boot up the laptop.

Conflict? Defective memory? 2nd monitor issue? Common Lenovo behavior??

Maybe a fast start up issue that Windows Explorer doesn't load correctly sometimes. Try rebooting it instead of shutdown then boot or try turning off fast start up for now.

What happens when you boot into Safe Mode?

Try holding the Shift key while hitting the restart button. Like @Fabler2 mentioned, it could be a problem caused by Fast Start. If your laptop has Modern Standby, see if you can turn it off. Disable Modern Standby in Windows 10 and Windows 11 Tutorial

I have Fast Start disabled. Safe Mode disables my 2nd monitor, which I suspect is the cause of this and many other issues.
