Why won't my display turn off?

I've set the display to turn off after 5 minutes in the power settings and rebooted my PC (a desktop), but it still won't turn off after 5 minutes of inactivity. I'd run the power troubleshooter, but there isn't one, at least under Other Troubleshooters. Sleep and Hibernate are set to never. Any tips greatly appreciated.

ChatGPT suggested I change my screensaver setting to Blank from None and that turns the screen black, but the backlight was still on and I'd prefer it to be off. I discovered that having the screen turn off after the same delay as the screen saver (so they're sync'd) also kills the back light. So, problem solved.
