Windows 11 | Version 21H2, Build 22000.652
Hi there.

I'm having a bit of a problem. I love the new design, where you can see the weather on the left side of the screen/taskbar. But for some reason, it just stays in the middle where my other icons are? (Only on my laptop though? on my desktop, it's in the left corner)

I really want it to be in the left corner, so I can see the weather. Plus, in my opinion, it just looks better.

I have seriously tried researching a fix for weeks now. And I cannot find anything related to it!

Hope y'all know a fix <3

Welcome to Eleven Forum.

The code that shifts the Widget to the left is not provided through Windows Update. That update comes through the Store. If you have turned off automatic updates in the Store, then that could explain it.

To get the Weather widget on the taskbar working it seems you have to have the latest Web Experience Pack and the Local Experience Pack installed. Try opening the Store and let it update them, then restart. That was what got mine to work.

The weather widget works perfectly fine. But it does not show in the left corner.

(I also updated everything in the store just to make sure, but it did not work)

The first pic is my laptop, which shows the widget icon in the middle.

The second pic shows my desktop, where the icon, is on the left side of the taskbar, which is where I want it to be. But for some reason, my laptop wont let me.

The shift to the left with the temperature displayed only happens after the Store has updated the PC to the latest Web Experience Pack and the PC has restarted.

(I also updated everything in the store just to make sure, but it did not work)

A restart is required before it takes effect.

I can remove the Widgets in Personalization > Taskbar [right-click of a blank area of the Taskbar] by turning Off the Widgets then turning back On puts it on the left end of the Taskbar. Win10 puts the Widgets [News and interests] next to the Notification Area.

when I set up Win 11, I opened taskbar settings (right click on taskbar) and scrolled down a bit to Taskbar Behaviours,it said centre. so I changed it to left and everything shot over to LHS.
