Windows 11 Home 64-bit v10.0.26200 N/A Build 26200
It seems Windows 11 has gone through some changes.

Wmic is "auto-uninstalled" so yea...I need to "refresh my knowledge" about working with Windows.

What are the new "recommended first's"?

I prefer doing things in upper level command prompt.

BitLocker is a pain to me.
It's almost as if we are becoming more and more like "MS guinea pigs".
Revo Uninstaller is one app I plan to use.

I'm looking to be able to dual-boot preferably with Windows 7 Home Premium.
That may not be possible on this hardware, but I'm willing to try.

Microsoft had deprecated some Windows features that still can be added.

@WyattCollins

I'd also if you are using Rufus to create a bootable W11 install device recommend the features "Dont't enforce Secure boot, TPM and disable Bitlocker -- this type of security on home / domestic computers is a total pain -- unless you download stuff from those sites that shouldn't be mentioned here the current security provided by Windows Defender is MORE than adequate for typical users.

Loads of "Nerdy Geeks" go over the top on security --these days hackers go after corporations or try and "break" National / International infrastructure and services - they aren't interested in €20 from a domestic bank account. Protect against scammers which is much more of a problem and any sort of software - even sophisticated A\I is a long way off doing that yet

Before upgrading / installing W11 backup your old system of course.

HiBitUninstaller is surprisingly better in tests, considering that it is free and made by one person.

Just droppin' a few lines about my progress.

Currently getting my important things saved...those new important things I've gathered since I got this machine.

Next in line is to shrink the volume.
Then it'll be goin' into uncharted territory.

Using a USB (which I've had awesome success with in the past)
or...
Embarking on new path's believing there's a grain of success.
Might try installing from a iso within Windows here onto the unallocated partition.
That's something I've never tried before.

Until next time,
Wyatt

I'm having trouble accessing windows11.
I have a Windows 7 usb and a Lubuntu usb.
How can I setup a way to get access to both windows 11 and windows 10?

Will the drivers from windows 11 recovery partition work in windows 10 and in windows 7?
The dual boot install from within windows 11 didnt work.
At least not a transfer with all the drivers.
The basic Install worked.

A normal disk compression is good enough, you can use LZX, which is better, but not automatic, so it has to be periodically repeated and on top of it, it might be too much, I have experienced ocassional lags on NVMe, like when opening Settings.

Then there is of course hibernation, pagefile and disk cleanup, old one is still better than the new one.

I'm on Windows 10 right now.

Is it possible to flash the BIOS/UEFI to a previous version for preparing to install and run Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1?
I prefer Windows 7 over 10 and 11.
I hope I'm not stuck without Win7.
There is Lubuntu and 10 right now, so I'm not completely out :)

Whew...made it.
I'm on Windows 10 right now.

Is it possible to flash the BIOS/UEFI to a previous version for preparing to install and run Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1?
Generally no - you cannot usually reverse bios updates. If you must use W7 (bad plan as no longer security supported), run it inside a virtual machine.

The Bios version should affect what OS you are running.
We do not suggest this, but you can install Windows 7 on a new updated Bios.
You may need to enable Legacy/CSM (MBR) if your installer is MBR and not UEFI.
