So what happened?
And how do repair the taskbar?
I'm typing this message from my still Win 10 desktop. Will be converted probably in early March.
The laptop is 2H23 but I can't tell the specific release version because I can't actually start any programs, except for hte programs for which I have desktop shortcuts.

CTRL + Shift + Esc should bring up Task Manager. Under Processes scroll down to Windows Explorer and right click to select restart.

Win + X to open the context menu and choose
Windows PowerShell (Admin) .
Step 2: Type (or click to copy) this command –
Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$ ($ _. InstallLocation) \ AppXManifest.xml”}
and press
Enter .
You should be able to open your start menu via the Win key to open a browser and view Eleven Forum

With anything to do with task bar or start menu, the first question I always ask is do you have any 3rd party app that alters the GUI installed? If so, either update it or uninstall it.

YES!!! I had a problem recently where when I was typing a comment in to Youtube, It was typing black on black. I kept fiddling around with those things and suddenly it worked. Think of how much time computers save us!!!
