OS
Win 11
I've looked at and followed multiple videos and post about setting environment variables and such, win 11 still does not recognize it. There is some super secret setting somewhere I'm guessing, that no on mentions.

Please define "does not recognize it". What are you doing and what are seeing? A screenshot is always helpful. You can directly paste screenshots in this forum.

"C:\Program Files\ffmpeg\bin" must be appended to your PATH environment variable.

There are two versions of PATH. User variable only updates your user profile, and System updates it for all users or for system processes (like if you had a scheduled task to run it in a batch file).

There is no PATH. do I rename or create. I know I had created a PATH E.V. and got the same result, but since deleted it since it didn't work

ok, it worked when I appended the "Path" that was already under user variables. yet all the 'directions' i followed never mentioned that, they just said to put in environment variables.
