I have an HP 1110 Deskjet shared on my network. I am installing a new PC with Win11 and when I display printers, it says the HP 1110 needs a new driver (see attached screenshot).

I expanded to a section I am not familiar with and it seems to indicate there is some x64 driver already installed but does not give me a way to update it.

What is the proper way to get the correct driver installed in Win11?

Right now the printer is greyed out in the printer list shown on the screenshot.

Do I go to HP and download the latest driver and just run the installation app and let it provide the latest driver or is there another way to get this done?

FWIW, I just tried downloading the printer installation software recommended by HP and it runs an app called "HP Easy Start" but HP Easy Start only finds my current network printers and wants an IP address or USB connection for the HP 1110. Since the HP 1110 is "shared" and direct connected to another PC, it only has a share name and no IP address.

Even though the printer was in the printer configuration list, I needed to add it again and Win11 loaded the driver from the network share PC (in my case "HPENVY").

I don't know why someone in this forum couldn't help but thanks anyway.
