OS
win11
No idea if this will help anyone else, but I suddenly started having a slow boot on win 11...would take twenty minutes or more going through several black screens to open...finally...googled every possible solution with no effect. Taking a break..I replaced a bad rom drive and restarted...SHAZZZAMMMM!!!! No problems...running a 120GB ssd, 16 gig of ram and an Nvidea GeForce GT 730 gpu..which will be upgraded soon to 32 gig...and hoping a 1TB ssd clone will be recognized..but as is...it boots fine now...maybe this might help others with a similar problem..

What is a ROM Drive? Do mean RAM or HDD/SSD? RAM is memory. Some laptops do hae a recovery partition on ROM, so the user can't mess it up. But it plays no role unless invoked for recovery.
