Win11 Update error - Alternatives: just ignore them?

What I hate about Windows is the frequency of failing updates. As long as Microsoft isn't capable of compiling robust update packages, the update policy really dont work. If you are not a system expert or willing to search the internet for complicated discriptions often involving obscure command shell instruction, your only choice is to ignore the updates.

Added: I have no idea why the report says it's a Win10 machine. It's not. It was upgraded from WIn10 though a couple of months ago.

This is the last one. Hoping that someone reckognize what's the trouble here:

English translation of your reports:

Sorry to hear about your problems. All my Win11 machines install their updates without issue. I'd recommend running DISM /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth followed by SFC /ScanNow

Update.
Ran the suggested commands without issues. KB5022845 still refuses to install."Something went wrong, Dont worry.. uninstalling updates".
Think I just have to live with it.

You have to have the /Online option selected in the DISM command for it to perform a /Cleanup-Image... In other words: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. Otherwise it will error out.

Assuming that you're not up for a clean install of Windows, you could try an upgrade installation.

Short version: get an ISO. (Download Windows 11 or uupdump.) Double click on it to mount it. Run setup. Choose to keep data and programs. It's not guaranteed to preserve all installed programs, but I've not had it fail.

Might try that if nothing else works. But going to look a little more about these failure log details first.

Someone must have experienced the same failure and fixed it.

Discovered something which leads my investigation in another direction. There's nothing wrong with the Windows update services on my system. Several of the security updates among other things has been sucsessfully installed afterwards. It's the specific KB5022845 which is the problem which again leads me to believe it's some drivers, HW updates or core functions (what do I know..) that is incompatible with the ASUS Ryzen 5500U or its chipsets.

Maybe there is a newer update installed making that update obsolete or incompatible and it fails when trying to install. If it is a driver for a device, then a newer driver is already installed and this older driver is rejected and it fails. Just ignore it and eventually Windows Update will remove it from the list.

KB5022845 was superceded by KB5023706 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Build 22621.1413 (22H2)

Are you running this update on the System One in your specs with its 25314 build? KB5023706 is only applicable to 22H2 build 22621.

This error means that the update is not applicable because a newer update made it obsolete or because you don't have the appropriate Windows version, as suggested above. Just ignore it. Yesterday I upgraded my father's unsupported HP laptop to Windows 11 and Windows Update is still trying to install a Windows 10 cumulative update! Eventually it will remove it from the list, so I just ignore it.

PS: I remember in earlier Windows versions you could click to search for Windows updates again, so the list was deleted and discovered valid updates. In Windows 10 and 11 there is no way to search again if there are some updates on the list. You have to delete update cache. I tried to clean up the disk including system data, but I had to leave, so I didn't check if Windows update list was cleared.

I'm on build 25314. If this update is for build 22621, then that would be the problem.

There is, in a round about way. Pause updates, then immediately un-pause them.
