Since I installed the 24h2 on my older laptop I am not able to add more then one finger for the fingerprint login! It worked perfectly for the first finger and it also works if I delete the scanned finger and add a new one. It also works perfectly with the scanned finger when the PC boots. But if I choose to add another finger this is the message I get!

Anyone else having this problem or is it specific to my PC?

Ok, from the amount of reply I concluded that this is not a common problem and that I need to find a solution myself.
After trying many things (bios reset, driver update by windows, driver reinstall, etc etc..) I searched for my finger print sensor
Synaptics FP Sensors (WBF) (PID=003d) and searched for a latest driver I could find. When trying to install it the installer stopped
and told me that it is not compatible with my device. So I extracted the Setup.EXE file and tried to manually add this driver in windows.
Windows didn't accept it and told me best driver for my device is already installed. So This time I tried the "let me pick " way and
after unticking hide non compatible devices I forced the installation. And voila! it works and the problem is fixed!
The driver is not intended for my finger print model and is for a newer model. But who cares if it works!

You may have to wait for a Windows Update to solve your problem. Have you looked in the Feed Back hub to see if others are having this problem?

I already read that. Fingerprint sensor on the affected devices as the article explain will not work after device lock. In my case the sensor is working and it even works fine when scanning the first finger. It simply stops working after you try to scan the second finger!

I searched the web and apparently I am not the only once facing this problem and above all the problem is not specific to 24.2 or even windows 11.
