1) Please define slow - how long does it take to boot? And at what point during the boot process does it lag?
2) Check your startup items. Do you need everything currently loading at boot to do so?

Where did you get your 24H2? And was it a clean install or an upgrade?

24H2 by itself is NOT slow to boot up. I'm running 24H2, clean installed, on a 12 year old PC, and it boots up in about 10 sec's.
In fact, my install of 24H2 runs the fastest of any previous ver. of Windows.
It's all a matter of where you get it and how you install it.

What did you do to get it to boot so quickly.

I did 2 installs on laptops one clean install and the other upgrade and both are going slower than previous versions.

I go back to my first Question: Where did you get your OS?
That can make all the difference in the world.
If you download an OS that's already been professionally Decrapified, you won't have to do it yourself, which you're probably not prepared to do.

I've been told many times, that I should write a book, on how I get the most out of a PC. That's a speciallity of mine.
But, I'm a hands on Computer Tech, not an Author.
Most of my tweaks are as simple as opening the RUN box, and typing in MSCONFIG and pressing enter. Then go into the BOOT tab.
That's where you'll find "30" in the Timeout box. Change it to just "3". That can speed up your boot time by 27 seconds.
Then click on "NO GUI BOOT" and don't forget to click on "Apply", before closing MSCONFIG.
It's just simple little things like that, which can set you on the path to a better running PC.

Bring it on down here, and I'll fix it for you.

PS: I've stated, for years, that if someone gave me a brand new PC, in the factory box, the first thing I'd do is boot it up with my Windows install Flash Drive and perform a CLEAN install, using an OS that's been totally Decrapified.
My last install with a CLEAN OS, took only ten minutes!!!
