Hi everybody, I m sadly writing this question from my phone because my 6 months laptop stopped working today after I decided to reset to fabric condition by the default button on windows. I went for a shower and then when I came back I sow it was keeping restarting every time without doing anything. Luckly, before to reset, I saved all my files in another ssd and managed to create with a new 32gb usb through the windows media tool to create a bootable os.
The reason I reset it? every 10 days in average the laptop goes in blu screen with memory management error and rarely on Page Fault in Nonpaged area error.
Looking online and posting on microsoft forum, they suggest a ram issue.
Now, I would say that I did read all the discussions and topic of this world about how to reset and clean install windows 11 having these issues. None of those worked! so since I m with my phone, i decided to record a video ( i m sorry in advance if the quality is not that good) to show you every single option I ve tried. Outside of the video, I have to add that during the installation another error comes Error code 0x8007025D and sometimes 0xc0000005. Both suggest ram issue..
I want to hear your suggestions and since I m still on warranty time, tomorrow I will bring the laptop to the shop.. I just wanted to avoid this because of the times they take to fix ..
as last i want to say that I also deleted all the partitions and created a single one but I got firstly a blue screen error System Service Exception. It report as what failed : Ntfs.sys..., now I ve tried again and I get a 0xc0000005 message error...

video

thanks

Welcome to the forum. Sorry you had to come here with such a severe problem. My opinion is your situation is not a good one. .

If while windows was installed your blue screens pointed at a memory fault, resetting or reinstalling the OS was not the proper solution to fix your issue. The correct first step should have been to get to the bottom of what was causing your blue screen, whether it be a defective driver, defective ram, or any other defective component. You do not list your computer specs in your profile so I do not know if your laptop has removable ram. If it does, eliminating defective ram sticks one at a time should have been the first step. If your ram is soldered to your motherboard your only solution is to return it to Acer for repair.

Once you removed the OS, you only complicated the issue further.

Defective ram can keep windows from installing but that error code 0x8007025D points to your installation media, either file corruption or missing files, possibly even a defective usb drive. Therefore, you may be looking at both defective ram and defective install media.
So the first thing you need to do is use another computer and create your uefi installation media again, using another usb drive if possible.

Once a drive is created, you can hit f12 at boot which will bring up your boot options. Select your usb boot drive from the list that appears. You do not need to change your boot order in bios each time as you were doing in the video.
You mentioned you had deleted your partitions and made one partition. When cleanly installing Windows, there should be NO partitions. Windows should be installed in unallocated space.

0xc0000005 as an Windows installation error. This error can be caused due to your RAM or your hard drive being defective.

So you can see that if your ram is defective, you probably won't be able to reinstall windows. There was probably nothing wrong with your windows installation in the first place. I think at this point you have no option but to return it for repair. Explain to Acer what happened and hope your warranty was not voided when you removed the OS.

on warranty time

What steps were performed under the computer manufacturer's warranty support?

tomorrow I will bring the laptop to the shop

Hopefully you'll get it sorted there.

What were you attempting to accomplish creating a single partition?

The video text was in a foreign language.

Had you tested the RAM as per the above comment?

Please post images or share links of the results into this thread.

Let us know the tests performed in the shop with the results.

Many thanks for your complete answer. My laptop is Acer Aspire 3 A315-23 series. I didnt try to remove the ram because If I open it the warranty is automatically over..

I definitely stop to blame the usb cause it s a new fresh one and even if it was corrupted, I ve tried with the other one from microsoft.. So it would be unlikely to have both usb corrupted.. hope so at least.
The fact is that the laptop was working for months, even id there was the blue screen from time to time. But yesterday when I reset it to fabric condition using the setting on windows, something went wrong... It was working for a while and when I came back it was restarting continuously. That s why it s kind of weird to me and I wouldnt bother to blame the usbs.. I m basically getting these two errors I ve posted..
Now you did create me a doubt about the end of warranty when so is removed... Thanks

I didnt test the ram, I cant open the laptop cause warrancy and also the errors I was getting during its lifetime, googling, are addressing all to the same issue " ram issues or hdd". I deleted the partitions to have a new single allocation

The RAM can be tested by using a bootable flash drive.

They are likely to test the RAM in the local store.

What steps were done with Acer warranty support?

Ask the repair person to provide the tests performed with results.

I'm glad Acer will take care of it for you.
FYI- looked at the specs on your laptop. Depending on your serial number, it does appear that at least 4 gb is soldered to the motherboard. There is one slot of removable memory which may or may not have a ram stick in it. I cannot say since you did not indicate how much ram your laptop has.
The fact is that the laptop was working for months, even id there was the blue screen from time to time.
If you've had it for only 6 months it sounds like your laptop has had a problem from the start. New laptops should not blue-screen. Acer much have good customer support if they are willing to sort it all out for you.

my laptop has 8 gb of ram. So basically it got 2x4gb ram sticks? do you think I can expand that 4 gb ram stick that is not soldered to the motherboard?
Lets see in 2 weeks what the issue will be, hopefully they will tell me what the issue/s is/are.
thanks

Yes. You can, at least up to an 8 gb stick which would give you a total of 12 gb. Some of the Acer Aspire 3 A315-23 series laptops can go up to 20 gb (adding a 16 gb removable stick) depending on your serial number. Once you get your laptop back, go to Crucial website and use their scanner to scan your laptop. The scanner will tell you what memory you have, and what you can add.

I hope you stressed to Acer that your problems all started with these blue screens. Make sure when you get the laptop back that you find out exactly what Acer did. You may have to press them for the information. OEM's are not always open with their customers. Sometimes, it's like they want it to be some big secret or such. If they say they changed the motherboard (which they would have to do to replace the soldered ram) they may very well use a refurbished mobo which is a stupid practice with a computer that is still in warranty, but they do it anyway. If that is your case, ask them point blank if you are getting a refurbished mobo because they will not volunteer the info. You need to know where you stand when you get it back.
