Windows 11 Pro
I'm trying to copy files to an external hard drive.
I drag a folder from C: drive and after "Calculating...", it keeps on prompting the "Replace or Skip Files" dialog box.
I rebooted and tried again.
I updated Windows and tried again.

Now, there used to be a folder of the same name with most of the same files at the destination.
I had renamed it and purged the recycle bin as well.
I'm guessing it sees those files for some reason.

Is this a known bug?

Thanks.

Here's the problem.
If the renamed folder is still there on the external drive, choosing Replace might wipe those out.
If that doesn't bother you, then choose "Replace".

If it does bother you, then save the renamed folder to another location. Then choose Replace, for the drag/drop of the original folder... and see what happens.

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
Oh wow! You know...what you described might have happened to me before where I lost loads of data and wasn't sure what happened. It was a while ago so I don't remember the exact details, but I think this was it!

That sounds like a serious issue though. I don't know how that would get past QA.
