Windows 11 Edge

I recently upgraded from Windows 10. With Windows 11, I get a screen like below (see attached). I also get multiple occurrences of MS Edge when I check the task manager. I check the network and have reconnect and the same occurs once I have reconnected. Any ideas?

Yes, it is normal to have multiple Edge processes running even when Edge is closed. Not only does it increase performance and speed of how fast Edge opens, but some of the processes control stuff like some widgets(ie: weather and news and interests) as well as any progressive web apps. Like Firefox and Chrome, Edge is a multi-architecture browser. The number of processes you see running depends on what Edge add-ons you have installed and how many tabs you have open.

You can stop some of them when Edge is closed by opening Edge settings>system & performance>system>toggle off "disable startup boost" and "continue running backgound apps and extensions when Edge is closed". Also disable Edge in task manager, startup apps.

I see your point about the multiple Edge processes, now I need to see about the screen I get in my attachment when I try and open MS Edge. Thanks!
