Solved Windows 11 Home - BSOD Critical service died, Deleted Catroot folder

This is hard to believe since it is a protected OS file and even a different version of Windows. But, weird things sometimes work. I would certainly followup with sfc /scannow from command prompt and a manual 'check for updates"
Yes, i have done those, but the cumulative update that i deleted catroot for still failed lol, i think i won't run into future problems because the windows updates and driver updates will probably download newerr certificates when they get updated

Consider performing an in place upgrade repair:

Uninstall any of these non-Microsoft software:
a) antivirus
b) firewall
c) drive encryption

Once you've fixed problems make sure you make free backup images.

No it won't, if it has failed to install that cumulative update, then the Windows Update client will not offer or download any future updates until that issue has been resolved.

Could you please provide the logs from the CBS folder?

Code:
%systemroot%\Logs\CBS

You'll need to .zip the files and then possibly upload them to a file sharing site since the folder size may possibly be too large to attach to a forum post.

I have had it randomly install an update that previously gave me an error in the past so i think i might just have too little space

I won't be able to comment until I've seen the CBS logs unfortunately.

Was that CBS log produced after running DISM? I can't see anything significant unfortunately, those invalid package errors usually do not cause any problems. The error code you're experiencing does indicate that a file is missing though.

I looked up the update and more people are having issues with it, so maybe a future update will fix it. But my PC is working again so its not a big problem for me.
