  • Administrators can now configure Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365 sessions that use Microsoft Entra ID (RDS AAD Auth) authentication to automatically disconnect when a redirected smart card is removed. This extends smart card removal policy enforcement to Microsoft Entra authenticated remote sessions, helping organizations meet security and compliance requirements.

Reminder for Windows Insiders in the Experimental (Future Platforms) channel​

  • These builds can be unstable and might be released with limited documentation.
  • The builds released to these channels represent the latest platform changes early in the development cycle and should not be seen as matched to any specific release of Windows. Features and experiences included in these builds might never get released as we try out different concepts and get feedback. Features might change over time, be removed, or replaced, and never get released beyond Windows Insiders. Some of these features and experiences could show up in future Windows releases when they are ready.
  • Many features are rolled out using Controlled Feature Rollout technology, starting with a subset of Insiders and ramping up over time. We monitor feedback to see how they land before pushing them out to everyone in this channel.
  • The desktop watermark shown at the lower right corner of the desktop is normal for Windows Insider pre-release builds.
  • For Windows Insiders who want to be the first to get features gradually rolled out to you, you can turn on the toggle to get the latest updates as they are available via Settings > Windows Update. Over time, we will increase the rollouts of features to everyone with the toggle turned on. Should you keep this toggle off, new features will gradually be rolled out to your PC over time once they are ready.
  • Some features in active development we preview with Windows Insiders might not be fully localized, and localization will happen over time as features are finalized. As you see issues with localization in your language, please report those issues to us via Feedback Hub.

I'm not so sure... download was pretty quick at a couple of minutes and around 8 minutes to install up to the restart. The restart did take a while at around 15 minutes but overall start to finish pretty quick I thought.

Another one where I'm not so sure, however... and I'm just surmising on this but isn't the whole point of this branch to rebuild Windows internally and to lose the legacy stuff that it has all so far been built on and that dates back to W10/7/Vista and even XP in some cases. The outward stuff may look similar but underneath the code could all be very different and more compact to get the same or better results. That has always been my take on what this branch is all about.

Yes, I have mentioned the same display issue of overlays for Rainmeter in a previous post related to build 29617.
Most of Rainmeter skins have their objects slightly shifted for unknown reason.
The exact same setup is displayed correctly in 26300.9032 (dev).

Have users with non-AMD PCs encountered this problem? I recall that build 29599 also caused issues with AMD processors.

As I stated, the exact same setup is displayed correctly in 26300.9032 (dev).
So I cannot see how AMD hardware would be a factor.
Also when using my NVIDIA adaptor as primary, the same issues are present.
Do you have any sources that would validate your claim by any chance?

Appears they don’t want me to have it, now up to 40 minutes, so I restarted it and now the download has started all over and is at 2 %. The other computer is actually installing the build. Go figure.
