Windows 11 Keyboard problem

I have an Acer Swift 1 laptop. Based on advice in this forum, in an effort to go to Windows Boot screen, I followed advice which did not work. I am not complaining. (I was told to hold the ESC key while starting the computer). Now my keyboard is not working properly i.e. when I press a key, a letter or number different from the one pressed appears on the screen. I believe there is a simple fix for this, but I have no idea what it is. Any help would be gratefully received. Many thanks, Brian

Please fill out your computer specs properly with the model number of your laptop.

I’d doubt very much holding down your escape key while booting broke your keyboard. Reads more like a laptop malfunction. Or maybe the wrong language is selected? How old is it?

Can you give us an example? When you press a certain key or keys, what key is it typing instead?

When I pressed F9 function key, it fixed the problem. (This had happened to me on a few prior occasions when I was dealing with Crypto websites - which I no longer use !)
