Good Observation. I have to admit that I didn't notice what was selected.

I STILL cannot get to see a 'Preview' of a JPG on 'Preview Pane' ... I can see a .mp4 in Preview Pane .. but no .Jpgs at all :rolleyes:

I don’t know about anyone else, but I still don’t know what you’ve changed. I was a psychic once, but alas, no more.

In the image below that you posted (see how I have embeded it into this post?) on the top two files, there is no icon for the file .jpg. Possibly a related issue?
Also in the image, as already mentioned, the file actually sellected is a shortcut, you wont see that in the preview pane.

As you haven’t really told us anything, I am assuming you “may” have made changes to something that affected .jpg files.

What happens if you “open” one of the top two .jpg files, what do they open in?

I would start by resetting the associations for .jpg files.

Go to this tutorial
Scroll down to jpg & jpeg
Click and download the reg files
Run both of the reg files

HI, The top 2 icons , are showing the Standard Windows 11 icon for jpg ?? White, Blue ... ??? on Windows 10, ALL jpg files would show in 'Preview pane' weather shortcut or not ??? I use Windows Photo Viewer ( Not the standard Photo viewer that comes with Windows 11 . maybe i should uninstall WPV and see if the standard W11 program works ( and shows previews ! ) The Jpg icon, i have now managed to set to the icon picture of my choice, which i posted i needed help with .. all i need now is 'Preview Pane' to work !

But you’re using Windows 11. So I don’t know what Windows 10 has to do with anything.

Ok ! The shortcut wont show in Preview, or the Original Attached ( With my icon choice ) ( Updated since the Screenshot you put arrow on ) ..I will try other steps tomorrow, Thanks ! ( I only installed W11 this week ! ) from W10
