Solved Windows 11. Perfmon will not complete generating a report.

Hi

I need to generate a Perfmon report.

I have tried opening CMD window as admin and used perfmon /report but it just sits there and after 15 minutes I close the app.

I also tried the Run dialog box and typed: perfmon /report

This causes a error message:

I tried doing a clean boot by disabling alll apps in the startup menu but that makes no difference.

I understand that sometimes Perfmon will generate a report anyway and that can be found manually by opening perfmon and
navigating to the System Performance tab but, in this case, no report is generated.

Can any one kindly shine a light on this?

Hi,

Run perfmon thru the GUI:



Right click on the report generated:


Print, Print to PDF.
Make sure to expand each tab (about 25) so that everything is visible during report generation.
Your PDF will end up being about 20 pages long.
The artifacts of the report will be found in %HOMEDRIVE%\Perflogs and can be deleted once you have your report.
