Activated with a Win 7 key - looks pretty!

Hi there
That menu looks pretty identical from Icon wise to any Linux running the KDE desktop Window manager with Oxygen - Breeze theme !!!! although icons are specific here to Windows. !!!!!!!

Got mine from Wzor (trusted since Win 7 leaks) but someone posted a link at TF

Mine has this hash
Name: 21996.1.210529-1541.co_release_CLIENT_CONSUMER_x64FRE_en-us.iso

Activation is fine (W7 key works too !!!!) one defect already though it fails when trying to install openssh-server which is quite useful if you use cmd line to SEND files FROM Windows to other systems.

Hi there

@KYHI
Try this

has all W11 install options (Home,PRO,Education,Enterprise,Workstation etc

You need your own key to activate . You can install as normal (clean / upgrade) and skip the enter product key prompt - it may well activate if you already have a digital license for W10. I activated mine via an old W7 technet VL key.

File name is this : Windows 11 - 21996.1.iso

here's my onedrive link

[removed by admin - MSTF made me do it]

cheers

Hi there
delete the iso.part -- that was a failed upload to one drive - the correct file should be the .iso file only

I'm still waiting for an official insider preview release. Given my WIMVP status that seems to be what's safest for me. I'm in awe of all those who've jumped hard on the new stuff already, though. Keep up the good work!

Purchased early 2019 as Windows Insider test PC
I've only gone with a VM, I'm waiting for a more polished build before I even consider installing it on bare metal.

I did a re-evaluation of my thoughts from the weekend, and I simply cannot afford to have idiosyncrasies pop up due to (the possibility of) me being on an unreleased build, particularly with a potential new job starting up for me. My two oldest working laptops are both running NeverWare ChromeReady Chrome OS, and I actually need both of them doing that as loaner machines for the folks in the CompTIA classes I'm teaching (as we're using Google Classroom platform, which the Chromebook clones make for a great locked down device for testing), and the newest laptop I have I need to keep free and clear for use at work for administrative purposes with the PearsonVUE software we use for the testing center.

So, that leaves my desktop - and I need to clean up some stuff (*cough* underplayed games *cough*) before I try to make the full backups I need for both of my drives before I go installing this thing on my personal bare metal.

Seems almost worth just buying another NVMe drive and slapping my dual NVMe riser card in my mobo and installing to that lol....

I'm like Ed and waiting a bit longer before I install it, only have my 2 laptops now so I'm not risking either of them yet till I've seen a few more reports on the new OS.

That's sensible - especially as this is a leak.

I've cajoled myself into waiting until after tomorrow to even consider installing it on bare metal. And when I do, it will be with test machines first.

When I finally get a decently reasonable βeta release officialy available from Microsoft, then I'll attempt both an upgrade install over my existing Win10 and a clean install on the same hardware (mainly to test various installation options, like the moving of \Users tree to a separate physical drive, like I've done since Win7, thanks to @Kari's fantastic tutorials on the subject.
