I just checked the Windows updates, there were no actual updates for Windows, but there were 4 "optional" updates. I checked the blocks on each one and clicked the download tab, but nothing downloaded. I did this several times to make sure, and each time nothing downloaded, and the items were still sitting in Optional.

Any idea why they are showing and checked but not downloading? My Windows Update is working ok, I get those.

Could you please list what these optional updates are for. Are they for drivers?

HY, it doesn't matter now, I ended up having to recover my first backup last night due to that ExplorerPackage app I uninstalled, and it hosed my Windows explorer and file explorer, was unable to fix it no matter what I did. Now those optional downloads are no longer there.

If a newer update makes the old ones obsolete, then nothing happens when you try to install the old ones. If you cleanup your disk, including Windows Update files and then run Windows Update again, they should disappear.
