Hi folks, I'm not 100% sure which update caused this or whether it was when I updated to 24H2, but when my system boots up, the Windows Boot Manager is all pink and messed up. It still works, just not displaying correctly. I normally hide Boot Manager by setting the timer to zero unless I need it hence not being able to pin point when it started doing this.

Is there a known fix for this issue? I've searched the forum and can't find much about it. certainly no fix anyway.

Yeah this is a common issue.

There is an acceptable workaround.

Run MSCONFIG, select boottab and check boxes shown, then apply.

This will partly fix issue - screen will look ok, but will in 4:3 format (will not fill full screen) but much better than at moment.

You are a star, thank you. I found by uninstalling the Nvidia drivers and booting up with the standard VGA driver it was showing correctly. As soon as I installed the Nvidia drivers I would get the pink screen. I couldn't find a way to stop Windows using the Nvidia drivers for the Boot Manager screen. All other outside of Windows screens were fine like when troubleshooting, going into start up options and pressing 4 for safe mode all were OK.

Is it a known issue that is likely to be fixed in a future Windows Update?

Just a quick update. I use fast boot and when I shut down completely and start my PC, I get the correctly sized Windows Boot manager. If I restart, I get the 4:3 screen size (or the Pink screen if I undo the adjustment cereberus recommended in msconfig boot). Just seems odd that it only shows correctly when turning on the PC after a shutdown with Fast Boot enabled.

I tried adjusting the start up speeds in the BIOS (disabled/fast/ultra fast) but didn't make any difference.

Updating or going back to older Nvidia drivers didn't make any difference.
