Windows Explorer randomly opening new windows

Hi there
I have been having this issue for a while but it's getting more annoying.
Every so often, I will have a new instance of File Explorer just randomly open. I have walked away from my PC to come back and find 6 new File Explorer windows open.
It also randomly happens when I alt + tab.
I have run SFC and DISM and can't for the life of me figure it out.

Any help would be great.

File explorer stealing focus has been reported by various users both across the web and in the feedback hub ever since 22H2 was released. A simple web search will give a lot of suggestions, but for those it happens to, they do not seem to work. Some have been able to get rid of it by disabling autoplay, Control Panel>Autoplay>uncheck use autoplay for all media and devices, but overall it is considered to be a bug in Wiindows. MS has addressed it as being an issue in insider builds, but the problem keeps coming back for some people both using insider and release versions. 23H2 is just over the horizon. Hopefully it will fix it for everyone.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I looked at the one that said disable the Shortcut key(Win+E) but I use that a lot when I want to start explorer so I didn't. Let's hope that 23H2 fixes this.
