Windows Gurus -- optimising nr of V-Cpu's in a Windows VM

It also works for dvd drives see 4th picture. However, without messing around, not sure how to play music\video dvds.
Certainly works for data. I rip all my owned cds to mp3 on usb drives anyway.

Hi.

If you use Windows Hello, e.g. PIN for log-in to Windows on Hyper-V VM, you cannot use Enhanced Mode. You must use a password to log in to Windows on Hyper-V VM to be able to use Enhanced Mode. Am I correct or some things changed in recent builds ?

You are asked perfectly legitimate questions when installing Windows. If you DON'T READ IT and just blithley click all the boxes that's your problem.

If you don't like the conditions then don't accept them and install another OS.

If you install insider test versions as your main OS and things go wrong then that's your problem.

Insider builds are TEST builds where defects can and are likely to occur - but recently less often than they used to be -- the biggest problem is regression bugs where an old bug fixed has been re-created again by a later fix undoing the old one.

Whatever you think of Ms / Windows etc it's NOT the evil empire (and that's coming from me who uses Linux as my normal every day OS).

Why would you need to use Windows Hello in a vm so long as host uses it.

If you use the default network switch, the guest OS is behind a firewall between the host and guest. I do not see how Windows Hello provides any real benefits to a vm.
