Windows mail keeps changing time zone

On my wife's laptop, Windows mail keeps changing the time zone to UTC -8.00 Pacific Time. Despite being changed back to the correct timezone, a couple of days later, the time zone gets changed again. The computer time and time zone remains correct. Any suggestions?
The easy option I guess is to install another email client but then I'll get moans about having to learn something new!

Sounds like the computer is pulling an E.T., calling home. Pacific Time usually is the default shown when installing Windows as that's where Microsoft is based.

Right-click the time in the Notification Area and choose Adjust date and time, make the changes necessary to show the correct information. The time in your profile suggests you are 2 hours East of the 0° Longitude.https://www.timeanddate.com/time/map/

If you refer to Windows Mail and Calendar app, you might want to be aware that app will be gone before the end of the year. Explained in post #2 in this thread. can't add accounts in mail/calendar

I assume you mean the computer date and time in the bottom right corner? As I said, the computer time is showing correctly and has always remained showing the correct time.
