Why does this icon disappear from the corner of the taskbar? It is enabled but does not start. When I boot manually from System32, the icon is displayed, but after restarting the system, it does not appear again.

I have never noticed that, I use Norton so I disabled it as a start up item. You could check Settings>Personalization>Taskbar>Taskbar Corner Overflow and see if it is turned on as you have it enabled in Task Manager>Startup

It goes into hiding until Windows Defender runs a scan then it will pop into the tray ! If you want to disable it >> To access it, right-click your taskbar and select “Start Task Manager” or press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard. Click the “More Details” button, then click the Startup tab. Locate the “Windows Defender notification icon” option in the list, right-click it, and select “Disable”. Windows Defender will still be running in the background !

Ok, I have no idea then unless there is an upward arrow on the taskbar, click on it and see if its there if so drag it to the notifications, if not I am sorry to say I don't know the answer

I installed Avast, the free version. Until it is fixed somehow through updates. It's not that important, so now Avast is displayed in the Windows corner. Thanks to everyone for trying to help.
