Nope, both my machines are intel CPU's and GPU's and one has a Nvidia GPU so don't think thats a factor.

Yours looks like it has multiple versions of the intel graphics driver trying to install also with the other drivers.

Hope I'm posting in the right place? I'm new to Windows 11. (about 6 months) I got nine updates (see pic) and, I followed the instructions of the member: "erhanercan" I hit the windows update button appx: 8 times and, there gone! Ran a sfc /scannow which came up clean! did a reboot, - looks like it's back to norm? The troubleshooter had a yellow diamond & said: try to repeat it again. The updates are gone for me? Is there anything else I need to do? Windows Update is back to Norm....Cheers.

Well, I've not had that problem on any of my systems. Those type of updates have all installed successfully on my machines.

Looking at all the screenshots it strikes me that they all say 'Install error'. That implies Windows Update downloaded them successfully, but then failed during install.

They also all have the same error code: 0x80070130. The only reference for that code I can find says that it means "Short name settings may not be changed on this volume due to the global registry setting". Following that lead brings me to the registry value NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation in HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem. All my systems have the value 0, check what your says.

Specifies whether NTFS generates a short name in the 8.3 naming convention for long file names and for file names that contain characters from the extended character set. If the value of this entry is 0, then files can have two names: the name that the user specifies and the short name that NTFS generates.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to lid hinges starting to break up this laptop has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

    I've now clean installed 25H2 and used Garlin's scripts to update Secure Boot to CA 2023 and revoke the PCA 2011 certificates. It's new role is to test secure boot issues.

    Info for 2021-2026:
    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

Actually it's error code 0x80070103 due to the drivers already being installed or incompatible. Keep in mind we don't need or want the drivers as they are outdated. Some of us are getting multiple versions of old graphics driver pushed at us. We just want the updates to stop being attempted.

I've got the error on 6 Intel Extension Drivers. I looked at update history and saw they were already listed as installed today (twice) and the latest one was also installed 11/22. Before coming here, I tried several procedures I found on the web. One worked, but they came back again. I also made the mistake of trying a system restore. The last thing I did was the pause/restart updates that I read above. When I clicked restart in installed Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - v5.110 (KB890830) and 2023-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5022845) perhaps because of the system restore. It's waiting on a Restart right now. I'll see what happens.

After the restart, I don't see the problem. I clicked on Check for Updates, and it looks like it installed Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - v5.110 (KB890830) again, though I only see it once in Update History.

FWIW I also installed a new BIOS this morning. I don't remember if it was before or after the Windows update.

Everything still looks OK, I'm shutting it down and going to bed.
