Windows update Install error - 0x80070103

Something got broke on the new updates that MS came out with. Mine are old drivers that have been replaced with new ones, now they want me to update with old ones ..... not happening here ! So we wait for MS to fix their mistake !
What strikes me as funny is their trying to force three different intel graphics driver versions on me in the same updates.

Complaints are still pouring in this morning over on the MS forum. I read where a few were able to solve the problem by pausing updates and then resuming updates. It didn't work for everyone, though. I don't have a Home machine to test the theory. It might work for some of you.

@flashh4 Just as well since I screwed up and didn't include it all when I copied and pasted. Sorry. My Bad. It was just a shot in the dark anyway. To add to my incompetency I missed the big bold letters in this Windows 10 tutorial that says it's for Pro only. (I'm old so am not at my most attentive at midnight when I posted that)

Same here on my 1255 build machine, they just disappeared this morning with no action. They're still on my 1265 build machine currently. I'm just hoping when they disappear they'll stay gone now.

I did the following: pause Updates, restart the PC, waited an hour and activated updates again. Problem was gone. Coincidence? Maybe.

That's one my suggestion worked for. Hope it works for the others here. It's a weird fix and I can't figure out how someone on the MS forum figured it out, but hey, it's Windows. What can I say.

Ok, just went to my other machine that still showed the update errors and paused updates, then a few seconds later I resumed updates and now it's currently back to normal. When I did it yesterday it had no effect but I'm hoping the problem has been addressed now so everyone still showing the bogus updates may want to give this a try today to clear them.

There were a few recent reports that the problem was fixed.

Basically they're saying pause updates for about a week, then come back and run updates again and you shouldn't see them anymore.

At least for now, anyway...

More like pause updates for 15 minutes. It's worked for some by pausing and then immediately un-pausing.

That didn't work for me. I basically stopped and restarted the service that was mentioned in that other thread I created. It's gone away for now but only for now.

Seems it's on MS's servers more than anything.

80070103 while installing updates usually means you might be trying to install a driver that is already installed or installing a driver version older than the version already installed. This post over on MS forum has a lot of folks reporting same issue TODAY so would seem to point to yesterdays cumulative causing problems.
Thank you this helped me I had the Nvidia drivers from my other computer which has a 3070 when I am trying to update drivers from a 3050 notebook in the same account I went back to Nvidia's website and got the correct drivers and I was able to update windows.
