I use Windows update which is done automatically normally at startup in the morning. I never press the "Check for updates" button myself. In Advanced Options I have the Receive updates for other Microsoft products Office and other updates turned on but never receive any. Is this normal? and how can I check it?

I have Office 2019 (Home) installed. I have the slider set to receive "other updates", but, as far as I know, I have never received any through Windows Update.

I have had to check for updates within an Office application. Doing that isn't intuitively obvious for me.

Thanks, I had a problem once when the option was greyed out, I sorted it and like you never seen anything so I guess all is well

Thanks for the info, I have Office 2019 pro plus the click to run version. I have just noticed that "My Norton" has a section of software updater that shows all of Office and other programs as up to date with the version numbers, It's just the drivers that maybe a bit iffy

Thanks @glasskuter I think all is ok but after the issue with greyed out options I was a bit worried

Both, read on the communities forum that it’s not uncommon to be missing, hey ho I don’t use 3rd party auto updaters anyway

I run winget once a week, usually picks up stuff that’s missed
