Winget for unlisted versions

I'm using the script "winget upgrade --all --include-unknown" (minus the quotation marks) in CMD when I want to update software that has version numbers that can't be determined. Is that the correct script to use?

Yes that is the correct switch, but it doesn't always work. For example, if you have same software installed as both SYSTEM and USER levels it will likely get stuck in a loop of thinking the software is always out of date.
