Wireless Security Camera Without NAS Capability Connection To Router

Hello, and Happy New Year everyone,

I just got a window mounted AC powered security camera (Girafit W150), which only supports inserted SD card or their own cloud storage and no NAS configuration capability. I have the SD card inserted and don't need to subscribe to their cloud for storage. The cameras will not be capturing much.

1. Sure I can use it's IP Address to connect it to an attached USB drive in the router (ASUS RT-AC3100).
2. Any app that would be able to connect the camera to a NAS drive?
3. If #2 would be possible, any app that would be able to create a remote connection / access to the camera recordings in the NAS or router-attached USB drive?

OK. I just assumed everyone had a camera handy as it’s easier IMO. As for storage, I have a little Tapo in my office, which I will add is awesome. I stuck a 512GB Micro SD card in it. Goes forever.

I don’t have a NAS. It’s kind of suspect that all these security camera companies want your stuff to pass through them. Sure that’s great for remote viewing, still, they should add an option for client server/cloud settings. I get what you’re doing.

As @Antspant said, on the first page of the user manual it tells you to download the Girafit app.(the manual is only 2 pages.) Product Support for W150
Also on the first page it tells you to make several adjustments to reduce the number of notifications you receive. I suggest you do that because folks have complained that even snow triggers it.

No I do not think you can use NAS. The second page of the instructions says you can record to the sd card or Girafit's cloud only. Looks like if you need more storage you will have to pruchase a larger sd card (It accepts up to 256gb of class 10) or buy cloud storage from Girafit.

You could ask them by using the email address given on the app's PlayStore page

or use the chat facility in the app.

I hope you are successful.
I bought a couple of cheap security cameras in order to learn about the subject and I'd love to be able to add them to my home network.

I got this due to the fact it can be stuck on the window. Actually Eufy has cameras that can connect to NAS as an option, and they now have an option to stick the standalone camera, to the window. I'll check more on that.

One other think about Girafit is that there support is awesome. I chatted and emailed them already.
