Solved 24H2 update - running out of ideas.

I have been trying to update to 24H2 but I keep getting error 0xc1900101. I understand this flags a driver issue but I have checked all drivers are up to date.
I have updated the BIOS. I have run Troubleshooter which states it corrected something but still no luck. I tried updating in Safe Mode but the updater gave a message saying it could not run in Safe Mode.
What have I not tried?

Follow next steps: BSOD - Posting Instructions - and attach a report (covers general system info - not just BSOD crash dumps - so it can be good enough to figure out what's missing).

Do I not need the internet to download 24H2? I only use Defender which I would have thought Microsoft would not require disabling.

Download the ISO, use Media Creation Tool to create the install media then disable the Internet, turn off antivirus and try upgrading.

How are you trying to update and is the update offered to you via MS update?
Or are you trying to install an MS ISO or have you used a UUP ISO?
If so, what version?
Please provide more info.

OAT and antspants - you have suggested using the MS ISO. Is this a complete reinstallation of W11? I would prefer just the upgrade otherwise I would have many hours of reinstalling and configuring,
Yes, I was trying to install from MS updates.

Then… disable internet and follow Option Two in this tutorial.
During the upgrade process, say no to downloading updates if asked

Yes, I was trying to install from MS updates.

Your system is coughing so many errors, it's scary.
I am sorry but an update to 24H2 should not be on your priority list right now.

I would also look at the startup tasks and see if you need all of those:

OAT - I have had a look at the startup tasks and most of them I use regularly. Many are security and backup (local and cloud). Email, media server, video editing, etc. As for the application errors, where do I start? All apps are running fine. FING was recommended but I'm not so sure. Premiere is running OK. ONENOTE I barely use.

in search: "reset" - reset this PC(in settings)
after that try to update again.
If fail
get latest MS iso
Put it to a USB stick with Rufus (use default settings)
Plug it in and click on setup. choose keep files.

Else cold 24H2 install.
