25H2 - "Home" and "Desktop" reappear in Explorer Navigation-pane

Hi Chaps,

Just upgraded my 23H2 system to 25H2. Mostly went well, aside from some unexpected Windows shares issues (wouldn't be an upgraded if it didn't stuff-up sharing!).

Anyway, to the meat of the issue. Since the upgrade I've noticed that the "Desktop" and "Home" icons have reappeared in the navigation-pane in Windows Explorer. (see attached).

There have been no changes made to the settings or configuration of Explorer. I've tried the previously working registry patches to remove them with no luck.

Any suggestions on what to try next?

Hi, Mike.

I am having a similar issue with the OneDrive icon at the top of the left navigation page (Still removable with Brinks tweak)
Duplicate drives reappearing in the left navigation page (Still removable with Brinks tweak)
They both keep reappearing.

I’d be interested to see if anyone else is having an issue with the left navigation pane in File Explorer, File Explorer in general since the 25H2 upgrade.

There was no change for me. I'm not using anything to mod the UI, just used Brinks tutorials to remove them.

I only have This PC in the left nav panel.
