Explorer navigation pane issues & question

Hi - having trouble with Win11 Explorer (and I'm not the only one!).
Firstly, Windows ignores my settings for Quick Access (or what used to be called Quick Access - my chosen pinned folders). I pin my favourite folders to this area and remove e.g. Desktop/Pictures/Music/Videos, but before too long my chosen folders are gone and it's back to Windows defaults.
Secondly, I've tried removing OneDrive from my 'Home' area via registry edits but, again, before long they're back.
Thirdly, every so often an extra section appears in my navigation pane - in the attached screenshot it contains my Downloads folder. This section wasn't there until I opened the downloads folder and then suddenly it appears and the highlight moves there from my folder tree.
Finally, is there any way to totally disable grouping? Apparently there used to be but now that doesn't work either...
Irritating isn't the word!

Are you using any sort of cleaner app to 'clean files' in Windows?

Or perhaps a batch file / ,CMD file to accomplish something similar?

The following does not answer your question but I believe OneDrive can be uninstalled if you don't use it. Doing this means it will not appear so that should fix one of your issues. But not the other issues.

He has a new computer (ie 12th gen) that either came with 11 or he clean installed 11. He can't uninstall onedrive if all his personal folders location all default to onedrive. They would all have to be moved first before onedrive could be uninstalled. The OP is probably unaware all his files are in the cloud rather than on his PC. This probably accounts for why the folders keep reappearing.
To the OP: you can verify if that is true by right clicking on documents folder, select properties, and look under location tab.
