I have just had a problem with my beta machine. When I switched it on about 1/2 hour ago there was a not activated flag. I went through the activation trouble shoot in settings, but there was no way it would activate. I hadn't changed any hardware for about 10 days when I fitted a TPM module, and there was the 22593.1 update since then on the 7th April. I ended up getting Microsoft on the phone and the lady eventually got my pc activated. She got me to click on the "hardware change" button and activation was immediate. It looks like it is worth doing even if you have not changed any hardware. This pc's Windows started life as W8 and was updated to W8.1 and then W10 and when the motherboard started to fail in 2020 I changed to the AM4 and sucessfully activated it via phone to Microsoft. I was asked if the hardware had been changed (motherboard, processor and ram) and they said no problem.
