Hi,
New member here, previously on W10 forum.
Purchased a new HP laptop, preloaded with W11 OEM Home Edition. I have a problem with activation keeping dropping off.
I get a message asking me to go to settings to activate windows. I do this by using troubleshoot and a new message appears "Windows has activated this Edition".
Everything will then be ok for maybe 2 hours, 2 Days or even longer ,then the activation message re appears.
I have searched the web for a solution but so far no result.
Does anyone know how to solve this annoying problem.
I do not want to re format my laptop seeing as how it is new.

I have to head off Rayal, but just to mention, if you’re trying to register Windows with a Local account and not a Microsoft account, there is a good chance it won’t activate properly. Try activating with a Microsoft account, then you should be able to go back to a local account.

Windows 11 frequent checking for activation

I recently noticed that windows frequently goes from activated to deactivated state, and I have to go to activation section of settings and press troubleshoot then windows instantly becomes activated.... but it has become annoying. is this just on my end? windows 11 build 22631.3155

If you are using a MS account, I’m not sure why it would be asking for activation repeatedly.

If it's a new laptop, you shouldn't stress yourself out trying to fix it. If the problem keeps persisting, bring it back to the store. It is still under warranty.

People still reinstall win 11 downloaded from MS directly on new pc just to get rid of 'bloatware'.
And maybe something in that OEM OS install is causing the problem, like blocking server that activates PC

To anyone with this problem I have solved it by downloading a new current copy of windows 11 from Microsoft and then carrying out an "in place upgrade" keeping "all files and apps". Since then there has been no activation requests. Problem solved.

Didn't see this thread until your latest post. That is what I did when I jumped to 11, didn't use the System/Updates, and didn't have activation issues. Sounds like it is the better way to go. JMO it might also result in a cleaner upgrade. Glad it worked for you.
