This tutorial will show you how to add or remove the address bar in Registry Editor for your account in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
System configuration information is stored centrally in a hierarchical database called the registry. You can use Registry Editor to add and edit registry keys and values, restore the registry from a backup or to default values, and to import or export keys for reference or backup.
The address bar in Registry Editor lets you see the current registry key path, and copy the path if wanted.
You can also paste or type paths into the address bar and press enter to open that registry key path location in Registry Editor.
Pressing the Ctrl + L OR Alt + D keys in Registry Editor will set focus to the address bar when added.
You can toggle adding and removing the address bar on demand in Registry Editor if you prefer to not see the address bar at times.
EXAMPLE: Add or remove address bar in Registry Editor
Here's How:
1 Open Registry Editor (regedit.exe)
2 Click/tap on View on the menu bar. (see screenshot below)
3 Click/tap on Address Bar to toggle check (add - default) or uncheck (remove) it for what you want.
That's it,
