Thank you. Fixed it. And yes I agree, for me encryption is way more trouble than it is worth. I don't keep one thing on my system that would benefit anyone if it was stolen.

OK , I tried. Nothing different than what I have saved to a file and what I can see on my MS account.

From what I see from your screenshots, your system has standard BitLocker Drive Encryption which you may want to turn on. From my view point standard BitLocker Drive Encryption is all hassles and I haven't tried or turned it on though the PC from which I am typing this post runs Windows 11 Pro. I also don't know why Device Encryption shows up in Privacy and security in your PC. My windows 11 Pro PC does not show anything Device Encryption. Screenshots below.

Yes, the system when shipped had Windows 10 Home which I upgraded to Windows 11 Home and it had bitlocker enabled and I disabled it. Later, I upgraded to Windows 11 Pro. I also turned off Modern Standby. I thought Privacy & Security was supposed to have Device Encryption as your first screenshot in post #13 does reflect that. My Privacy & Security page does show a Device Encryption after Find my device in the top Security section:
Maybe it's because bitlocker was turned on originally and then turned off? or it could be I am on a Beta Insiders build?

And just for the record, this is what mines shows:
manage-bde -protectors C: -get
